has anyone put a 3/4 passenger
seat in to replace the bucket in a new landcruiser dual cab to make it a six seater. I would think the 3/4 from a troopy should fit but want to know if there are any unexpected problems. I understand that this would then require approval in Qld. still require a ute but need 4 seats for the littlies. thanks

molzy,
You might have a problem with the 3/4
seat and the air bag, they might not go together.

Have you ever sat in one of those 3/4 seats...or driven with someone sitting in one.
I have one in my hilux.....there is barely enough room to put a UBD in between the
seat belt stalks.
Now...remember if it is a small child they need to be in an approved child restraint or booster
seat....that requires an approved attachment or an appropraite
seat belt.
Na mate.....even if it could be done, it will make your life a missery traveling.
Have a look at the Iveco..turbo daily......in a dual cab it will
seat 4 adults in the back.
cheers
