Hi all,
I was wondering if people have any opinions/ experience with the plastic type iceboxes regarding the lining material?
I remember when these first surged onto the market a few years back that I found a brand that was more expensive, but boasted a 'food-grade' inner lining. It was apparent from a quick look that the inner shell had been plastic welded to the outer shell and was definitely a different colour, although I couldn't say for certain that it was actually a different grade of plastic?

I can also vouch for the Techni Ice with
mine holding block ice for 4 weeks on a trip last winter through SA. They definitely do have the food grade lining.
You can buy them on ebay we actually bid for ours and got it quite a bit cheaper than the buy it now price however don't forget to factor freight cost.
