I am looking for some help in finding the best low cost option for a new antenna for my poptop. Satellite unfortunately is no option under our current economic situation (Personal that is). Currently we have an inherited old style loop type antenna that is really only of use when in high signal area. Even the Saturn antenas are out of our range at the moment. I have searched on the net and have found a few that are within our budget ( dare I say $200-250 max). Just wondering if anyone out there is currently using(or has done recently) an antenna within our reach and what sort of range they had away from transmitter.
Thank You in anticipation

To do it on the cheap a YAGI Style antenna with a good quality booster is as good as anything.

I got one of these that seemed to pick up signals that others did not.
It has a built in booster, and a remote control that turns it when searching for the right direction.
