gary junction rd,the alice,
plenty highway,mikinlay,
kynuna,
normanton,dunbar,accross the
mitchell at whrotham park,palmerville,
laura,up the top.
Then heading down the coast to mackay to catch up with an old mate, then to burrum heads to have a look around.
Returning via
roma,
charleville,,
quilpie,
eromanga,noccundra,arrabury,

laverton and then
home.
Am traveling pretty light this time, swag, tuckerbox, engel,
camp stretcher under the canvas awning that velcro's on the side of my tojo utes canopy.
This will be 4th time to the cape and i will be solo till i meet some mates who are heading up to the cape from bairnsdale.
I have heaps of time and will be just poking along.
May bump into some of you along the track,
cheers, sparra.

g'day Sparra
I too will be doing a cross country trip next week,
Steep Point to Byron Bay.
I was wondering which would be the best route between
Woodleigh and
Meekatharra.
From Meeka we carry on to
Wiluna and the Gunbarrel.
Thanx
Peter.

The new crossing at Dunbar/Kooltah is awesome and the roads to the Cape road are in excellent condition, we just did it, saved us heaps of K's and time, some "track" stuff but we have a stock std 105 and camper and not a prob for either, still have the spare slung under as
well ..
The Cape road is crap, some work happening now
Have fun

Hey that would have been us, sold it to a guy in
Cairns, awsome vehicle and very reliable but time to up grade as kids are getting bigger and the 105 a tad better to steer .....
We are working at
Mapoon, 100klms north of
Weipa and yep i would go it to, nice trip and the river would be a nice spot to spend a few days on camping ...
Have a good trip
