EO has been running very slowly on all my devices lately and it locks the browser ( IE, Chrome, Android x 2) until the ads have completely downloaded. Sometimes when travelling it can take 30 seconds or more and even at
home can take 10 seconds or more at times.
I have never wanted to suppress them before but EO is so slooooo lately I see no choice.
Can someone tell me how to do this, can't find it on the menus any more.

Hi Boobook,
Just tick the box at the bottom of the page. See below.

There are still ads down the right hand side, across the top and a banner on the bottom of the screen. They do slow down my computer, to the extent that I could not use EO with Internet Explorer, but it is reasonable using Chrome.

Just a related question - how old is the computer you are using? There have been no changes to the ad rendering and in fact I have reduced some of the ad code down of late so curious about the problem? The ads also should lazy load and not stop the system from responding when they load, so I wonder if there may be something else going on.

Oh and for the record the most intensive process on the system in terms of images is actually the scrolling header image. One other little thing to check/try is update your flash player (it may be set to auto but if not try updating this also!

Thanks David I will
check that out, I really would prefer to keep the ads for this site believe it or not.
It happens on my 18month old Win 7 with Firefox, and my 3 month old Asus Tf201 with whatever that defaults to. The problems seems to be about 2 months old.
It does seem to be related to the ads and unfreezes when they are all up.

I wanted to suppress the girl in the black shorts, but I reconsidered.
