Are these any good they are supposed to help with contaminated fuel as you pour it into your tank if for any reason you are unlucky to receive a bad batch in some remote and not so remote

I don't leave
home without it. It saved my bacon on the Canning last year when I got a couple of litres of water and crap out fo a drum at
Well 23. I'd have been screwed for sure.
Best invetsment you can make if you intend using drums or even bush community bowsers.
Cheers Mick

I bought one over a year ago from BCF, it was on special at the time.
I carry 3 jerry's on the back of my truck (an Isuzu npr 250) and always run the fuel from them through it into the tank.
Amazing what crap actually comes out !
Only thing I don't like is there is always a small amount of fuel/residue left in the funnel which has to be disposed of ! but an old milk container is where I collect it, then disposed of correctly and responsibly, not just thrown on the ground or in the bush.
I mainly fuel up at large truck stops so do get lazy with my main tank but really should use it all the time as it is cheap insurance for contaminated fuel, and as said you would be amazed what can be in the fuel.

I wouldn't mind getting one. But I have an issue with getting it into the tank and still being level.
Years ago Dad had a funnel with a bent nozzle. I couldn't see anything suitable on the Mr Funnel site. Anyone know where one can be purchased?
Phil

Phil, we use a short length of clear tube pushed onto the end of the funnel. It resides in the funnel when not in use. Have no problems with spillage even though the funnel sits at a slight angle.
