looking at mainly the Tekonshas for a EOH boat trailer and to fit to a 200 series.
When the price of the P2 is so close to a P3, why would you buy a P2?
Also are there any controllers that have a flat mounting bracket, as with these when you remove the controller your left with a mount that is just as intrusive as the controller itself?
A remote head type would be ideal but they are all (it seems) such old technology.
Any suggestions?

fisho, the P3 is the go.
It will fit in the ashtray hole or with some mods the credit card slot on the right. There are many discussions on this in the 200
forum of LCOOL.
Don't get it mounted to under the dash or it will fly at 1000kmph at you if the knee air bags go off. Older GLX's don't have these though apparently.

Thanks boobook, i have a 60th which has no kneebags. Its a pity they havent been smart enough to make one with a flat bracket though.
I am curious as to why the P2 and P3 are so close in price?

Fisho,
I put
mine in the ashtray cavity.
I chose the P2 because it comes with this bracket:
P2 Mounting Bracket
The P3 doesn't have a bracket like this. Using this bracket screwed into the ashtray cavity lets you remove the P2 easily.
By the way, it's OK for the P2 to be mounted horizontally.

As Gone Bush as said, the mounting brackets are different. I would also
check though, whether the P2 is suitable for EOH. When I fitted my P2 it wasn't but they may have been upgraded since. At that time, only the P3 was suitable. Bob.

I think the P2 has been upgraded Bob, although the OP should double
check.
I was under the same impression but its compatibility was pointed out to me on another
forum.
cheers

The blurb says they are "designed for EOH" brake systems, not sure if they always have been though?

FISHO,
Toyota fitted a CSL Remote Head Brake Controller to my vehicle (VDJ200). Very neat, small power variable nob alongside the power mirror switch. No intrusion into cabin space.
Cheers,
Greg
