With all the rain last weekend, has anyone by chance been up that way during the week? I'm interested in the water level as I'd like to cross there to head up to Davies high plain.
thanks,
Leroy

Davies Plain track is closed for the winter. It closed in May. I think all the tracks on the other side are closed now till October.

Yesterday, I was looking at the crossing from the NSW side. Someone had come through from Vic side. The river bank was cut up badly. River was flowing fast (as usual), but I reckoned that it was less than knee deep. Muddy. I couldn't discern the route to follow through the river. I didn't inrtend to cross anyway, but no way would I have tried it unless I had no choice.

Probably not relevant now Leroy however on Friday, river was at top of wheel on the defender, flowing quickly but no pushing as such. Vic side was very rutted and wet with a few slippery detours around bog holes before dogmans hut. As such we came back to nsw and camped next to river 2km downstream.
