Santa Andy
I'm giving the old girl a (much needed) general all-round replacement job with some parts that I picked up second hand and am now on stuff that I need to remove the dash for.
I've taken out the 4 bolts from each end of the dash, dropped the steering wheel and given it medium welly (force) to get it out - but no go!
I'm hesitant to give it full welly in case of damage...is there a technique (or a hidden bolt I've missed)?

Andy, try Lcool.org. I am sure you will find your answer. Easy to join and a wealth of info available.
Good luck, and it's a long time since I heard the term 'lots of wellie'

lcool dont do 60's - which is very uncool.
these guys only speak 60's.
there is a wealth of knowledge within the
forum, many of the members would have done what you are proposing to do.
post questions or chat online. (best in evenings)

G`day johntoyo,
Apparently lcool members don`t like hearing how good the 60`s are thus they won`t have the owners in "THEIR CLUB". l o l

Thanks, would have never thought 60's were not covered, and had never noticed. My first lc was an 85 / 62 series.

Santa, if you want to remove the whole dashboard it is a big job and you have to remove 'everything' under the dash to get to the 15 bolts holding the dash in.
That includes the heater and all the air ducting, fuse box and dash pad, radio, instruments etc...
This is according to my workshop manual.
I think a couple of months at the gym to get the aerobic capacity to bend under the dash to get to all these parts would be helpful too.
They don't build em as tough as that anymore. Just a few plastic clips here and there now.
cheers
Dave
