Hello,
I am heading to
Cape York shortly. Can anyone tell me how easy/accessible or desirable it is to top up the
drinking water tank at any of the various roadhouses along the Peninsula Development Road going to the Tip.
Thanks,
Al-one

You'll be alright for water at the Roadhouses.

EightyMatey's got it but good practice in this part of the world to top up wherever you can. Carry a bucket and help yourself from any creek or river but keep an eye out for them long nosed, short eared, long bodied, short legged, long tailed water terriers aka crocodiles. Cheers.

Funny that.....I was at Chilli Beach last year and stopped off for some water for the solar shower at Chilli Creek....was filling it up and heard a "plop"......nearly crapped myself and said "bugger the shower"
So yes be careful BUT correct all the roadhouses have water.
Archer River even has taps in their
campground and the water is fine
