I wonder if anyone can assist me by letting me know of a cheap, secure place to store a caravan in the
Brisbane area.
I would prefer the SW quadrant as I will be based in Springfield Lakes.
I am prepared to pay a reasonable fee.
Cheers

From our experience there is quite a shortage of caravan storage around
Brisbane and none that are reasonably secure are cheap. The other issue you face is that your insurance company will need to approve the facility or you have no insurance cover - just keeping the van on a neighbour's empty block was not acceptable to ours.
We currently use Mr Caravan Storage, Old Wharf Road, Pimpama. This is a purpose built facility with resident caretaker and owner and vans can be stored under cover, under shade cloth or in the open. We have seven day access. We put our own van in and out to our site -this was important to us because we had a van damaged in another storage facility where vans were moved by employees of dubious skill. We have been happy with the service. We do have to pay even when our van is not in to secure our site. Lynne

Thanks for that.
I wonder what the rates are, on daily basis?
It sounds like there are a number of storage options which is good.

We pay about $130 a month but you will need to
check for yourself. Rates can vary according to length of contract, size of rig, type of site etc. Phone 07 55475801. Lynne

G'day Shakeejob,
We recently stored our van in
Sydney at STORAGE KING, this company has sights in many major areas on the east coast and I am sure they have sites in
Brisbane.
Just look up www. Storage King on the internet and go from there it is very easy to find the information regarding location and if they have facilities to store vans, vehicles etc.
It cost us $8.00 a day plus a $16.50 admin fee so total cost was $48.50 for four days, the van was in secure yard and under surveillance at all times, the yard we went to in western
Sydney were most helpful.
Hope this may help.
cheers,
Will be Y.

Thank you for that, I have used Storage Kings in
Melbourne and was not that impressed with their booking system, but having said that they are secure and insurable.
