Here in the Blue Mountains area- celebrations are on at the moment for the Bicentenary Crossing of the Mountaions.
Part of the activities will be a 'flyover' on the 25th May.
Word is there will be up to 300 airplanes taking part. Matt Hall (of Red Bull Aerial Racing) is the organiser. There will be 100 planes per hour- including the RAAF Roulettes, FA18,Constellation, Catalina, and heaps of private planes.
Assembly will be over Emu Plains (where I am)- and the route will be over the mountains following the
explorers track.
So if you're in the area- keep your eye in the sky !!!!

Just looking for some connection between the 2 activities.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good flypast.
Just that this seems to be both a publicity stunt and perhaps a waste of public funds.

Publicity stunt for whom?
Apart from the RAAF, the rest will be paid for by the pilots of the aircraft, and HARS through its
membership and fundraising.
Good on them!
Wombat100. Caribou pilot obviously :D Enjoy the day.
