Hi all. I have a 2010 petrol 200 series and am planning trip round oz next year with the family. Hoping someone might be able to give me some ideas on giving this motor some extra grunt. What it provides now will be ok but always nice to have extra. I've heard chipping, supercharging, dynotuning and exhaust modifications. Some sound expensive and some not so. Any ideas/costs and where to would be great. I haven't spoken to any experts yet but thought this

Hi Jagger,
We have a 100 series cruiser and have fitted extractors and 3 inch exhaust which has given us extra grunt, cost from memory was about $1700.
Was advised against chipping, and supercharging was out of the question, about ten grand.

Hey Jagger,
Due to having slightly bigger tyres than normal.
Extra %, don't really know, but at a guess 5-10%.
Fuel consumption reduce a small %age, hangs on in the gears better, and sounds excellent.

If he had that much he wouldn't be complaining Dicky - I must admit that that was a reason I choose the 4800 over the 200 series petrol.
Don't go down the route of my super patrol post Jagger - you get massive power but its hard to use.
You can get small increments from the convential routes , but I suggest review the small super charger options - designed to deliver no more power up top but significant torque thru most of the lower rev band.

60th Anniversary, crikey, it doesn't seem that long since I had a 40th Anny 80 Series.

I think toyota have trouble counting (apart from their profit margins) as the 40th anniversary was in 1997 and the 60th anniversary in 2010 - go figure !!

I was being a bit tongue in cheek. It was explained to me once that the 40th was for 40 years in Oz while the 60th was 60 years of Tojo worldwide.
