Chris.
Hi, has anyone driven this recently, anyone know what sort of condition the road is in?

This section of the road is always in poor condition due to the number of vehicles it carries. Even if graded, the improvement only lasts a few days. Having said that, the road is by no means a shocker, it's just a bit rough. Expect there to be patches of sand, patches of corrugations and rocky areas as
well. Suitable for towing just slow down and drive to suit the conditions.
Cheers Mick

Hi. I have not spoken to my nephew about road conditions but he came across that way with his 5th wheeler and F250 a couple of weeks ago , and did not have any trouble , he is in
Darwin now,

Chris.
Came through earlier this week with road being in pretty good shape, a few corrugations but nothing serious.
Sandy and soft in
places but again, nothing too serious if your tyres are lowered and speed adjusted too suit.
We came through with 2 x vehicles and trailers with nothing more than dust issues.
If travelling through to
Laverton be wary of Breakaway Earthmoving who are currently doing works to the GCR, in a couple of stretches, and doing it extremely
well I might add.
Also has been recent blacktop added to area around Tjurkayirla, so contact with Al and Serena at the roadhouse will fill in the rest of the gaps.
Can I also thank Al & Serena for their hospitality, you should be proud of the effort at this place, it really is
well worth the visit.
Cheers & Regards
Paul
