please advise the most suitable towing mirrors for our LC 200.

We have a treg hitch and just fitted it to new LC 200, and found that the tail gate touches the treg hitch when tail gate is down, is it possible to cut off about 15mm from top weight distribution attachment?
Thanks Hugh

Clearview mirrors worked well on my previous 100 series.

Treg hitch or wdh ? Bit confused by your post.

Treg hitch, you could purchase a tongue with a slightly lower mount, or with a wdh these two come in 3 different height tongues. Don't know if it would be a good idea to modify.

Any chance of a photo? That way we'll know what your problem is.
Also the 200series came with two height tow hitches. If you have the "offroad" hitch, it sits higher than the "onroad" hitch, so changing to the onroad hitch might be all you need.

It's the off road hitch that we have. I went to Preteige Geelong and spoke to them today. They suggested to put the hitch on the off road towbar, and that I wouldn't need the WDH as long as the back doesn't drop more than about 12mm.
They also suggested to invert the other one if the offroad one isn't suitable. Also have to change hole position as it protudes to far out.Hopefully either option will work.

You did not say where you are but the aravan show is on in Melbourne and this is usually the best place to get them. Clearview that is. Remember that the still stick out a bit even when folded and this is a problem in car parks. If you only use them for holidays many people put the normal ones back on again throughout the year. I think they are around $600 cash now.

Graham,

Try $785 for the 200 series. Having said that, they are worth every cent.

Cheers,
