We are planning a trip from Malaysia, into Thailand, Cambodia, Laos. Then into China, Tibet, and the Stans (political issues allowing). We need to be through these countries during the northern summer. Then perhaps Turkey and into Europe.
This itinerary is still being developed, and may change as we get more information.
We will have an Earthcruiser (a new Mitsubishi Fuso dual cab 4x4). We are taking delivery of this in June and intend to do a number of shake down trips in the second half of this year.
We would like to join up with others for certain segments of the trip where we would rather not travel alone. We envisage a loose convoy arrangement for other parts of the trip -perhaps with contact and occasional meet ups along the way. However for China, Tibet and the Stans we feel there will be comfort in numbers. The cost of the guides in China is considerable so it is best to share this by travelling in a group.
