Background: Judy & I planned to attend a country race meeting and explore along the way.
I have become used to having my plans changed during a trip but this trip did not turn out anything like the plan.

The plan:
First two nights in Eulo behind the pub.
Move on to Kilcowera station for three nights.
Travel to Epsilon station for one night.
Visit Haddon corner and camp close by.
Spend the next two nights at the race meeting then travel home to Brisbane.
How it played out.
Made it to Eulo with no problems. That night we checked the weather forecast and noted rain forecast the next day.
We decided to travel to Kilcowera early as access is via dirt roads. The road in to Kilcowera still showed signs of the rain from a couple of days earlier.
We had planned to bush camp by the lagoon but as it turned out the road into the lagoon was still too wet. Given the predicted rain we decided to camp at the old shearers quarters.
In the past couple of years the owners Greg & Toni have built a camp kitchen at the shearers quarters. Toni suggested we camp next to the camp kitchen due to the predicted bad weather.

As it turned out, we spent the rest of our trip at the shearers quarters.
Now, on the surface the trip would appear to be a bust, but the camp kitchen turned out to be the perfect place given the weather over the next few days.
Roads in the area were closed and we were going nowhere any way.
We plan to try again next year to attend the races and we will stop by Kilcowera on the way.
