Just a silly question but can you leave the compressor running as you go from wheel to wheel or do you have to turn it off after pumping up tyres?
I usually turn it off but it is a bit of a pain switching on and off all the time. Just wondering what you all do.
Cheers

My Big Red Series 2 runs till all 4 tyres are up to the desired pressure.
There is no load on the motor, till it has to push against pressure.

It is a pain switching it off. Because the Maxair have a decent length of electrical cable ,I take the compressor to the tyre.
Leaving it running wont hurt, probably cools it down if anything

leave it running
or go one better and fit a small tank (with a pressure switch of course), and a shut off valve, then the longer it takes you to put caps on and off, the more pressure in the tank, and the less time to fill your tyres...
or you could just leave it running ;p
