Hi,

Does anyone have a ball park figure on how much an alternator and starter motor for a Toyota 2.2 diesel motor should cost, either new or exchange.

Dont go to toyota....if you can rebuild yours, it wont cost much at all....brushes bearings and regulator maybe. I remember a thread a while back where going to Ingrim got a new 4.5 alt for 350...half toyota price,. same thing

Last Alternator I bought was from an Auto Electrics shop in Roma Qld at $450 for my Troopie, probably just a normal one would be around $88 to $120
