Happy new year to everyone from Paris (in fact 40k from, on the countryside). You all are already in 2005. It is still 6.30 p.m. here.

Today's temp. are very mild for the season - 6° Celsius - yesterday, we had - 4°C during the day and - 9° C at night.

Have a safe year with lots of mud, creek crossings and corrugations.

Cheers

Eric and Cathy

It might seem to you that we are years behind Europe but really mate, we are truly in 2006, now. (How many of us will write 2005 for a few weeks/months before we get used to it being 2006)

In WA the weather is the cooolest for December since theystarted keeping records. Yesterday around 20 degrees in the South - should be 30-40 degrees.

A Happy New Year to all the French men and women who have the great attitude that you have Eric. I really enjoyed your travel stories and trust that future trips here are enjoyed by both you and Cathy.

Hi Eric and Cathy
Very hot here at the moment in fact hottest new years eve on record at 43c in Melbourne.
My cousin has her 50th birthday coming up and her husband asked where she would like to go out for dinner. She replied that there was a nice restaurant atop the eiffel tower so they will be feeling the cold at the moment over there as they left Boxing day.
Enjoyed reading your travel stories as i hope to be up that way this year.
Cheers Mark
