Hi there Stan, most of the time most vehicles run 50/50 coolant / water, I wouldn't go any more with the coolant as too much can cause it to run the reverse and actually run hot. Should state in your log books how much the cruisers hold i think for memory it is about 13L including block but dont take my word for it some one else will have the correct figure. Just make sure that you get all the old coolant out of the system eg heater hoses etc as coolant brands shouldnt be mixed as they can coagulate and block the radiator.Best way that I do it is pull off one of the heater hoses and open up heater tap and stick garden hose in heater hose and turn on gently not too high and this will clean out the heater hoses and core then continue to flush I then drop one of the radiator hoses and then continue to pull this on and off untill It is perfectly clear dont forget to drian out your over flow bottle as well. You probably know all this any way but just in case you dont. Try and get a good quality coolant not that tectroy crap from supercheap. I always use the red genuine stuff from toyota but I get it cheaper so might be a bit costly. You and your family have a great new year as well, and safe driving if oing away anywhere. Regards steve m

My 80 Series TD Cruiser I had took somewhere between 11 - 13 L of coolant I can't remember exactly but I always had to buy three 5L bottles, I must admit I always used Tectalloy and never had any problems with it, but then again most coolants are just mainly demineralised water. Best thing to do would be to find yourself a Gregory's Workshop manual for your truck, they cost around $40, and if you do even a bit of maintenance yourself they very quickly pay for themselves.

Regards

Snowy

Never run premix the tectoly premix commonly has 65grams per litre ethelence qlycol which is nothing more than green water at 6.5% it is a far cry from the minimum 33 to 50% reguired

There's nothing wrong with Tectalloy coolants at all. They are one of the few who make coolants for OEM use and their coolants are made to Aust and International standards. When you have a company like ARE in Queensland (probably the finest custom alloy radiator manufacturer in Aus) recommending them it's a sure sign your dealing with quality.
I use their premix 100plus which is a 50:50 mix but it's expensive and have had zero problems with any of their products.
A good test of any coolant is to shake the bottle and see just how quickly the bubbles shaken up disperse, when I did this comparing coolants the Tectalloy products were the 1st ones to disperse. This is a good test for showing the "anti cavitation" properties of the coolant, the faster they disperse the better the anti cavitation.
Regards Andrew.

Yes 50 50 mix should be expensive too as I usually make my own. I just find it unsrupulous (tectoly ARE the main offenders) selling those cheap premix bottles containing 6.5% ethylene glycol which all the info you will get will tell you that at least 33% is needed top give any benifit I also wonder what kind of water they use to mix it with seeing as they are prepared to sell coolant with a ridiculously inadeqate amount of ethylene glycol. I have no dought there premium stuff may be good but it is there ethics that bother me.
