Marlon,

I was at Steep Point last week. There were ample camp sites an the beaches but very few at 'the fault line' despite the fact that very few fish were being caught.

The track is in good condition but there are 3 sandy hills to climb. They wont present any major challenges but you must lower tyre pressures soon after the Useless Loop turnoff and note, the ranger has the authority to fine you $25 if you don't.

We had 30-40knot winds constantly, which is usual for this time of year. Try the link http://www.steeppoint.com.au/permit.htm for further information.

Regards,
