Hello has anyone any experience or thoughts on an iridium go unit for outback comms ?
It reads as being able to "create an anywhere wi fi hotspot " allowing you to connect a smart phone or tablet (up to 5 devices ) .
However the costs to be connected are dearer than i would like to pay..
Any advice appreciated ,thankyou.

Looks similar to a Sat Sleeve. We have used both the Iridium and the Thuraya but ended up buying the Thuraya on cost as both worked for us. We had the choice of a handset or a Satsleeve and we purchased the handset as we thought having two pieces of equipment for communication just increased the chances of something going wrong. We also couldn't see any benefit of having a smartphone connected unless we were using the internet which would have been way to expensive
