Has anyone traveled these recently and can give some advice on what they're like

Hi Dave,
We travelled from Halls Creek to Dunmarra via the Duncan Road, Buntine Highway and Buchanan Highway in late June this year.
The first 40-50 kms from Halls Creek is dusty and winds around the hills. After that, the road is very good travelling but still dusty all the way to Kalkarindji. From there to Top Springs, it is sealed but only one lane wide and has many potholes. From Top Springs it is again good travelling but dusty.
We towed an offload camper trailer and had no problems.

Probably not a real lot of help for now, but travelled that way from Halls Creek to Dunmarra over a two day trip in 1986 in a Toyota Corona wagon.
Don't remember us having any problems except for wild horses at night.
Watch out for the occasional road train....
From Barry's comments, doesn't sound like much has changed. Although back in 1986 there was no bitumen.
