That pump has been like that for many years I think ,as we did the Rudall river in approx. 2003 & we went armed with stillsons pump buckets of varying sizes etc. in case we came across this situation I uncoupled the pump rod etc. & tried to pull it by hand but is was too heavy for 4 of us so we had to recouple it & walk away from it. Some one with a winch on the front of their vehicle may be able to do it if they know what they are doing. Those things are not for the faint hearted.

We have CRA lined bores in use on the farm...

For us it means Corrosion Resistant Alloy liners have been used in the bore casing.

Supposed to be longer lasting, less maintanence, les metal taint in water and more resistant to hard water corrosion.

However, not sure if the poster is using it in the same context.

The CRA refers to the initials of the exploration company (Conzinc Riotinto of Australia) that put them in during drilling etc looking for Uranium at the time I believe plus whatever else.

They left two equipped bores with hand pumps North and South of the Rudall entry.
