So, do more people come over to sticky-beak at the car or the beaut little van?

Its more often the car Robyn.

However, when we tell them we built the van, is 11ft long and has a shower and toilet, they dont believe us until they look inside.

Mind you, if we swung a cat inside it wouldnt live long...

We sadly had to get rid of our you-beaut little home-made trailer last year. It was dubbed "the Rooster Wagon" because hubby originally made it just for himself so he could go camping up at the gulf and not get eaten.
Aunt dubbed it "The Chook Pen".
When our tent was shredded in a storm one trip we thought "Hang on! Don't buy a new one!" So, the trailer for one became a trailer for 2 and a quarter (us and the 5kg guard dog). What was a bed for one and a side bench became a double bed. We were pretty chuffed with all it held and loved showing curious people the shelves and tv and car fridge...but we didn't have the luxury of bath facilities!
Very impressive!
When out and about we were invariably visited by people who wondered how we fitted in and what it held and we'd sit and wonder how many "Rooster Wagons" we could park in the big van over here or the big motor home over there..!
Very soon we'll be buying a 12-14' van (a real one) and it will be "The Chook Pen" (well, the guard dog is a mini foxie, so we figured every chook pen has a fox!)
I suppose there's the Jayco club and Avan club and that sort of thing...there's also the "Really Different" club and it's kinda fun being part of it.
Robyn :)
PS: Hubby and I just drive a regular, boring car but I grew up with Nissan Z cars, MGs etc in the family.
