With so many people banging on about poor service I thought I'd post something good.
About 3 months ago as we were about to leave for the Canning we noticed that our 18 month old Evakool Glacier fridge/freezer had given up the ghost. When we returned we sent it off to the repair agent only to find out it had lost it's gas and wasn't repairable. The agent said this was the first Evakool he'd seen do this. He reminded us that Evakool does have a two year warranty and put a claim in, that after a bit of mucking around finding proof of purchase, was promptly approved.
Today this arrived.

Now this is the updated model with twin doors and WIFI so it can be monitored from my phone but to top it off we found a little extra when we opened it.

A free cover. :)

Hi Toni

I deal with a lot of people at work, including Station people.

If you are like most Station people that's I know personally, they do use a fridge starting the "E", but not the brand listed above.

Their fridges are out in all the elements of nature, get covered in dust, get diesel spilt over them, and best of all, high ground for station dogs.

So how do you compare to my friends.......lol

ps

Thanks for passing on my regards to Chris when he stayed with you recently. He is still having a ball and not expected home until the end of October.

Cheers and take care

Stephen

Hi Stephen! I will continue the hijack, seeing as it's like a sub thread anyway! We don't use a fridge a lot on the place but do when we go away. We have a little old Waeco that we purchased 20 odd years ago as we couldn't afford the ones starting with E. Day to day on the place we just use an esky - the dogs don't mind jumping all over them either.

That Chris is certainly well set up! He got everything that opens in that car of his. Knew he was on an epic trip too. Cheers Toni

Hi Toni

Thanks for that, and we will be catching up with Chris in mid October before he gets home.

And now to even further hijack this thread, what is the weather like up your way in October?

Just looking as Sir Kevs post regarding the National Gsthering and it sounds like a top spot for it. I would have thought it would be in the mid 30's at that time of the year.

Cheers

Stephen

Toni & Stephen,

we do tend to agree with the complaints, you are getting way off the topic that this thread was intended to convey. As members, you could continue personal conversations through the MM function please.

Great service, it is this sort of news that gives me confidence in the product - yes I have one and very happy with it

These days I look to aftersales service records before buying - whether it is a trailer, fridge, BMS, etc. Had excellent pre-and-post service from Redarc as well - another proud Aussie company

I owned an Evakool Esky back in 2000 I think it was one of the first fibreglass jobs. I was a great, ice lasting 5-6 days if you were careful so I suppose the Fridges are great also............I bought an Engle 2 years later (still going) but may have gone for an Evakool had they been around then.

From my experience, I would say that their ice boxes are better than their fridges.
