When I download a User Trek the time and date of each plot point is the time it actually downloads. In other words the travelling time information is lost. Does anyone know of a way to get the actual times of each plot point. The whole point of downloading a User Trek is get some idea of the travelling time and its a better indicator of how long ago the trek was recorded.

Chris,
Some files are uploaded without this detail and as such the system cannot generate it. Can you tell me the ID/URL of the file you are trying and I can double check?

That track was recently "created" by a Member who I spoke to a few days - he is trip planning so think he created this GPX file on his computer, sent to to User Treks in the hope it would appear in the Traveller App - he is a new site user/new member/new app user. He will be able to build Private Treks in the app once he becomes more familiar.

Thanks Michelle, I could remember that sometimes the time info was there and sometimes it was not and I though I may have been doing something wrong. But as you have just reminded me User Treks can be uploaded from any source so the times are not always there. Anyway I should have known better Alan McCall has a user trek of the same route I should have used his. With Alan's treks I have to double the travelling time at least, he drives a lot faster than I do. He has just got home after 34 days and 14,200 kilometres, that would take me at least 3 months.
