Hello there!
New member here...we travelled around Australia in 2001. We are planning a road trip with 12yo and 9yo soon. Our vague plan at the moment is to head from Mornington, Vic to
Alice Springs via
Flinders Ranges.
We're enjoying seeing what others on here have found interesting/useful/helpful.

Thanks Garry. We used this site on our lap last time but it has changed a lot. Last time I printed a heap of trek notes from here and found them really useful. I'm hoping to work out the online mapping this time.

Some
places of historical interest on the way.
-Confluence of the Murray and Darling Rivers in
Wentworth.
-the old Gaol there
-The old Ghan engine and cameleers hut in Maree
If you look up the history and background of these
places they are more interesting
Then look up the
oodnadatta track
-Haligan Bay
-
Farina
.

My kids have travelled all of oz over the years with us but the night we stayed at The peak telegrath station is one of there great memorys & they still laugh about the night we camped there. We had a dust storm, a rain storm, & the wild donkeys ran over/thru our
camp site all in about 4 hours

places to see, we might not get as far north as we were hoping. Will just need to do another trip I think ;)

Thank you! The
bakery wasn't operating when we last visited. But that was a long time ago. Very keen to see the changes.
