Hi Jacqueline

It would be great to have a crystal ball.

Having said that, it it is not wet, then conditions should be perfect, with nice warm days and cool to cold nights.

The long range weather forecast for South Australia...if you can believe it, is a dryer than normal winter.

Just keep watching the weather, and it it looks like rain, you better have Plan B ready.

If you have not been to these places before, I hope you have given yourself lots of time. Have a look at a couple of my Blogs about the area you plan to travel.

Cheers

Stephen

Always have a plan B and C. Rainfall forecast for August in Marree is well below average.

Hi Jacqueline,
We did this same trip Sept 2015 without a drop of rain. A good friend mine who frequents those parts often came back from this area a fortnight ago & reckoned the Oodnadatta Track was in as good a condition as he's ever seen. I doubt things will have changed much between then & August but as others have said keep an eye on the weather. As you can see by the photo, we stopped at Mutonia Sculpture Park on the way!
