The insurance renewal for my Cub Brumby camper trailer came due and I thought it sounded a bit pricey at $461 for 12 months? This is for an agreed $33900 value with a $200 basic excess, $200 off road excess and $100 Transportation excess (whatever that is?). I have a 4+ years no claim bonus on the policy. Does this sound a bit expensive or is this about what people expect to pay?
TIA
Bryan

Hi Bryan

We have just received our camper trailer insurance renewal, similar to yours with an agreed value of $33,400 and the excess is the same as your's. Our renewal is $575.95...
Who are you insured with?

Cheers

I have a slide on camper insured through Affinity Insurance Brokers who deal with Four Wheel Drive Victoria. Cost $540, excess $200, agreed value $31,400, Aust wide, insurer is Vero Insurance. Also I am one year off being on the top tier of no claim bonus.

I would like the details, however I cannot locate your profile to send PM to you, have done a members search and bbbl does not show up anywhere...

Just to throw in another comparison.....
I have a TearDrop camper that I've built up from a chassis.
It's nothing super sophisticated but it has all we need.
Fridge, 12/240v power, water tank and galley setup.
I've got it insured through CIL for $5000, probably a little high, but that's it's worth to us.
Cost of that insurance is $153.73
I'm happy with that.
