I haven't heard of the Kickass brand of fridge....guess I'll just stay happy with my 3 Engels.....one is over 30 years old and runs 24/7 as a drinks fridge in the house.

Got a few minor 12v items from them.
Can't fault their support.

Have a look at this site. Australian Direct sell a few brands. The Kickass fridges look like a knock off of the Evakool Glacier Series fridges.

I really like some of the unique features of this fridge with usb charging etc.
It appears to be made for Kickass by Evakool as it comes with a 5 year Evakool factory warranty so should be a quality product I would think.
I myself have a 70ltr Evakool fridgemate (8 years) and a 47ltr ARB (4 years) and never had a problem with either.

Sorry have no experience with them but I do have a RF47 Evakool 12yrs old still running fine and their made in Aus as
well so the Kickass fridge has a good company backing it up. Lots of people don't like the look of Evakool because the motor/compressor hangs out the end but it doesn't eat into your storage space inside like others do and keeps the heat
well away from the fridge compartment. They may be longer because of that so take up more external room which some people need, also
mine is the white fibreglass model so white helps to reflect heat and fibreglass doesn't get as hot as steel fridges do on the outside so no need to pay extra for an insulation cover.

I think you are referring to the Evakool Fridgemate series. The Kickass fridges are a knock-off of the Glacier series which are like the other brands with the sealed unit in the confines of the box. You obviously did not open the link in my previous answer. I suggest you have a look at ti before Australian Direct restructure the page,

No wasn't referring to fridgemate, I know Kickass have fridges found their site a few yrs ago was going to buy some agm batteries off them last yr but went with another brand. Basically just saying I have an Evakool and it's fine so maybe the Kickass will be ok because it's made and backed up by Evakool.
