Information
Lake Barrington was formed by a
dam on the River Fourth.The lake is part of the Tasmanian Hydro Electric Scheme but is used for other purposes including competition rowing. It is also used for boating, canoeing, fishing, water skiing and jet skis. It can be accessed from a number of boat ramps and there is a
campsite at
Wilmot. The former
campground at Kentish has been decommissioned (2024).
