Quick note to all,
I have just updated the mapping system to implement a number of changes and updates.

I have now enabled the mouse zoom wheel when you are in full screen mode. So when you click on the icon in the upper right hand corner (see image). You can now zoom in and out using the wheel mouse (if you have a wheel on your mouse).Image Could Not Be Found

I was going to add this to the all maps on all page views however it can get in the way when you want to use the wheel to scroll up and down the page - I will be happy to have feedback on this if you think it should be on. The other choice would be to have a parameter on the settings panel or something to enable/disable this function and save for next time. But give me feedback and I will see what I can do.

The google mapping functions have been migrated to V3 from V2 of the API. This is a subtle change but does bring in some performance updates and map display coolness when you are view the google tiles.

Hope you like the update and as always feedback is most welcome.

Oh yeah and if it is not working completely right please do a refresh/reload in your browser - you may have a cached copy of the older scripts.

Have you ever thought of getting the road conditions up to date?

It works well and fast.

My vote is go with the go with the mouse wheel zoom on all map pages.

Cheers
Alan

Vote counted .

Hey did you notice the latest thing I just installed - in the forum submissions screens (ask, reply, followup) and in the blog edit screen you will see a new Embed User Route button - click it. This is the official answer to how to embed these items around the system and for that matter it provides a one stop Route Management tool. I am working on the output views but the Routes upload/management is now done.

Just for fun here is one of my routes:

Ah Alan - can you email me a copy of the email the system sent for the alert on the previous update - I need to see what it does with the embeded route.
